Mars Thanks You!

Kaor!

It was a great campaign and I can't thank you enough! Your support literally means this comic happens and I'm incredibly appreciative of that.

So What's Next?

For a brief road map, there are a couple weeks to process the payments and to check errored cards, and in the meantime I'll be building the surveys and pledge manager over on Backer Kit. When that part of the process is wrapping up, I'll be back with a more detailed timeline of what to expect.

For those receving original art, I'll be reaching out via e-mail in the next couple days to get the process started on those.

But What Else is Next?

The next project I'll be launching is the third volume of the Don't Let Me Finish Sketchbook. The pre-launch page is already up and you can follow it HERE. Expect it to launch late May/early June, with an official date dependent on QoM's fulfilment.

Don't Let Me Finish #3

So What Else is Now?

And for a final note this week, I'd like to direct your attention towards The Blazes, by friend, Jay Magnum:

It's a fun and sexy high-stakes "NSFW" supernatural thriller comic book set in a 1980s-era Las Vegas strip club... where BAD GIRLS = GOOD TIMES!

Imagine a mash-up of "From Dusk till Dawn" and "The Devil’s Advocate" with "Striptease", "The Devil and Daniel Webster" and "Bubba Ho-Tep" mixed in!

Our story centers on a Las Vegas strip club, "The Blazes"— actually a "front" for the fallen angel Lucifer ("Luke Blaze") and his minions to lure unsuspecting souls to everlasting damnation— and the one man who may be able to foil him!

I'm a big fan of the art on this one, and I've loved Jay's work since I read Galaxy Gal a couple years ago so I'm really looking forward to this!

Thanks again!

One Last Goal to Conquer
4 months ago – Thu, Apr 09, 2026 at 12:28:10 PM

Kaor!

The $10k stretch goal has been crossed and the sketchbook now number 32 pages and will see print!

The current plan is to print the sketchbook at digest size, 5.5" x 8.5".

BUT

Let's aim for one last goal, $12,500 and if we can get there, we'll upgrade to a full size comic!

As a reminder, everyone receiving the Deluxe PDF will also be getting the digital version of the sketchbook. If you would like to receive the physical edition, you'll need to select the BONUS Rewards $1 add-on. The thumbnail looks like this:

And if you want another print...

Blazing Blade of Frankenstein Volume 1

is one week into it's campaign and it felt right to have a crossover print. If you'd like to get the print, back both campaigns, and comment on the Frankenstein page 'Kaor!' (This will help us keep track of who gets what and where they came from.)

Thanks for your support!

200 and Counting!
4 months ago – Mon, Apr 06, 2026 at 12:46:37 PM

Kaor!

200 doughty warriors have pledged their metal to Mars! Queen of Mars #1-3 each had a print, so let's do one for #4 as well! (And a sticker!)

Print on the left, sticker on the right, not to scale.

To get a physical copy of the sticker and print, look for the BONUS Rewards add-on for $1. All backers receiving the Deluxe PDF will have digital versions included with their PDF.

That extra $1 could also get you a 32 page sketchbook...

With a little over $100 to go to unlock the last four pages, we're only a $1000 past that to get the book in print!

As always, thanks for you support and interest in Queen of Mars!

Blazing Blade of Frankenstein Vol. 1

As my final trick for the month of March, I present the Blazing Blade of Frankenstein!

Written and lettered by Clay Adams (PRODIGAL SON, DREAMQUEST, RED XMAS) with art by Kyle Roberts (ELECTRIC YOUTH, PARENT/GUARDIAN) and Mick Beyers (WHITE ASH, DREAMQUEST, ROYO CHEEKS), colors by Ilaria Chiocca (RED XMAS, BLOOD OF THE GRUNCH) and Julio Rojas (NIGHTMARE THEATER, DREAMQUEST) and edits by James Powell and Frank Pittarese.

Volume 1 is:

  • 140 pages of sword & sorcery
  • the complete first arc, plus a brand new short story and full cover gallery
  • loosely inspired by the works of Robert E. Howard, Bram Stoker and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

BBoF is a great book, one that I've had a lot of fun drawing, and I'm excited for Vol. 1 to hit Kickstarter so that we can get started on the next arc! Available in hardcover, softcover, and back issues if you see an older cover you just have to have.

I hope you'll check it out and support the book!
