Beg for Mercy
3 months ago – Fri, Mar 20, 2026 at 09:40:47 AM

With one week left to go Mercy need helps to escape prison!

Words by Steven Prince, lines by me, colors by Alex Zief

Written by Steven Prince (MONSTER MATADOR), with art by Mick Beyers (QUEEN OF MARS) and colors by Alex Zief (MONSTER MATADOR, CARMILLA). The 24 Page one shot, MERCY: IN PRISON journeys back to 1975 and follows MERCY HANSEN, a happy-go-lucky farm girl from Wisconsin who gets sent to a Philippines prison after getting caught with a brick of China White in her travel bag. Of course, she didn't put it there. That darn English prick Richard Hawthorne III did and she wants to get out of prison to get her revenge. Only problem is that she's not the only one out for revenge... and she'll be lucky to survive!

Steve invited me to be a part of the Mercy book last year at San Diego. As a fan of 70s exploitation flicks, it was a no brainer. I kept trying to say yes before he finished the pitch.

It's high-art grindhouse fun. Lots of blood, boobs, and monsters, all the things I love to draw.

There's only a week left, and Mercy hasn't quite crossed the finish line so check it out! And if a women-in-prison horror story is up your alley, give it some support!

Stretch Goals, Some Weekend Watching and Sketch Covers
3 months ago – Wed, Mar 18, 2026 at 10:25:15 AM

Thanks for coming to this meeting.

Stretch Goals

Now that the book is good to go, what else can we do? The Delxue PDF already contains a few extra pages of sketches and BTS material, but I've got plenty more that doesn't have anywhere else to go. So for every $1000 raised over the ask, I'll be adding four pages of sketchbook content.

Notes, doodles, deleted scenes, digital prints and other bonuses. And if we break $10k, hell, let's print the bonus book!

Would You Like to Know More?

If you're sitting around this weekend with nothing to do, and want to hear me talk about Mars, then you're in luck! I'll be on Ink & Insight, hosted by Comix 4 All. It'll be available live, and then VOD afterwards, so feel free to save it for later.

Catch it on YouTube or Facebook.

Sketch Covers

I've been wanting to practice with a traditional pencil, and I have extra sketch covers from previous campaigns so I've combined the two.

These pre-done sketches are pencil only, and you'll find them as add-ons for $80. I've got more in the works as well, so check back next week!
